Exterior Coatings
BrushPro Painting Service can't stop the Pacific Northwest rain, but we can prevent and in many cases reverse damage to exposed wood and metal surfaces resulting from excess moisture and other elements of nature.
Surface preparation is a key component, vital to the integrity of any coatings application system. That's why experienced BrushPro professionals spend most of their time on a painting project not painting, but preparing to paint. Excellent preparation means ideal coatings adhesion, uniformity of coatings, resistance to erosion and excellent long-term appearance.
Pressure washing, combined with a mild bleach solution to inhibit growth of mold and mildew, is performed to remove dirt and other surface contaminants. Loose coatings are hand scraped and sanded to a sound substrate. Bare wood is primed. Defective caulking is removed. Gaps are caulked or puttied. Preparation is extensive, but imperative.
